An Introduction to The Feather Weather

                                    THE FEATHER WEATHER METHOD

The SeaCult life is much like mermaid life. Sure, it's less than conventional, but a sea siren is supposed to be special and different.  I'd say we're already starting off on the right fin.

If you ever spent time with a mermaid, you would learn that a mermaid is never far from her gadgets and gizmos, even if the rest of the world perceives them as odd. Mermaids just simply aren't concerned with following protocol. Mermaids need more time to explore. So if you're a busy mermaid. Follow me. Let me show you my time saving secret. Here's the tools you will need.

Let's gather everything you need.

A SeaPaint shade- for your base color

A Secret shade- feather weathered coat

Mermaid Brush- to apply first color

Weathering Brush- to feather weather on the Secret shade of choice

Blending Paper- to soften and blend the Secrets for a natural look.

Water- to rinse brushes

SeaGlass TopCoat (optional)- to protect your painted finishNow that we have everything we need, let's dive in.

My secret  happens to come in 31 shades and can do so much more than shown here, but today our focus is the feather weather method due to its simplicity and ultra efficient properties.

The feather weather can be used to achieve various looks depending on color choices, application pressure, blending pressure, and chosen SeaPaint shades.

While the outcome can be very diverse and appears complex, the application process is easy.

Use your mermaid brush to apply your first color of SeaPaint. Brush on paint in one direction in long smooth strokes.

Drying time is minimal-approx 5 minutes.

Next, we apply a little of your Secret shade. Use the bare minimal amount. A few drops really will do.

Dab as much excess onto a non-porous surface as possible (wax paper, foil, etc)

The name stems from the amount of pressure applied when performing this method. Light as a feather. If you use bare minimal product and a feathery sweep across any surface with your weathering brush, you can enjoy a weathered finish in 130 seconds or less, including DRYING TIME. Tell me that isn't whoa! It's incredible. If you need a game changer, an edge on the competition, or you're just a lazy bum like me that hates to do things the hard way, welcome to the SeaCult! We're glad you're here!

See it in action on my youtube channel.

  • What is the difference in your Seapaint vs Seaglaze? Are they one in the same? Do you just choose one color for the base coat then a second seapaint color to feather it? Also, is the secret like Barnwood Secret a stain like you’d buy at Lowe’s? For instance Minwax stain? Is the Barnwood secret type product put on with a brush or cloth? Thank you..I have already place my second order but I have yet to use it because I have so many questions…
