How To Paint Kitchen Cabinets Without Sanding
HOW TO PAINT YOUR KITCHEN CABINETS WITH SEAPAINTS
Step 1.CLEAN
Clean cabinets well to remove oil, grease, dust, and any other residues. You can use a degreaser or alcohol for this process.
Step 2. PAINT
Once your cabinets are dry, use a soft bristled brush to brush on your paint.
Long smooth strokes in one direction work the best for a smooth finish.
Use light pressure as you glide the brush across the surface. This will give you better coverage and help you use less paint. With SeaPaint a little goes a long way, so its important to not pile it on like you would latex or typical chalk paints.
Let dry 5 minutes.
Add a second coat if desired.
Step 3. SEAL
With a clean damp brush, brush on a thin coat of SeaGlass, our protective topcoat.
Let this coat dry for 5 minutes.
Add two more coats, waiting at least five minutes in between each coat.
Optional Step - GLAZE
Choose your Secret shade of choice.
Mix 1oz water with 1oz Secret Shade.
Stir well.
Dip brush in to this mixture and brush it on.
Let dry about 30-60 seconds and wipe off excess.
You can make your cabinets look older and vintaged this way by choosing a darker shade or whitewashed by choosing a brighter white shade.
Let dry for 2 minutes
Repeat step 3 to seal your cabinets.
