Why I’m Stepping Back From Social Media
After I got sober from alcohol 3 years ago, it's become clear that alcohol wasn't the only addiction I struggled with.
The most time consuming one of all....social media.
Thank you for joining me as I break free from my social media addiction.
I've spent the last decade of my life, glued to social media. What started as a fun way to market my business son became an obsession. This month, I've finally broken the spell.
I'm saying good-bye to social media. My accounts will remain up, but you may have noticed my instagram is now private as well as my TikTok page.... and my Facebook has become a ghost town, intentionally.
I love connecting online, but the pressure to post constantly, chase trends, and “feed the algorithm”, and the keyboard warriors started crowding out my creative spirit. Starting this month, I'm building the life I need and part of that includes, keeping the daily aspects of my private life...to myself. Except in here....
In here you'll begin to find:
-
Deep, unhurried creating (the kind you can’t rush into a Reel)- slow, soft, and soothing- like my videos used to be
-
Thrifting, decor, and design choices happening in real time
-
Calmer days to scroll through - no trolls, no keyboard warriors, and no terrifying news on the daily. Just rugged mountain living and all of our DIY adventures that go along with it.
What You’ll Get on Patreon
Think of Patreon as our cozy studio corner...quiet, friendly, and connection focused.
-
Behind-the-scenes process:sketches, color tests, product experiments, happy accidents, remodels, gardening, musings and ramblings of Jess Sea and more
-
Jess Sea's "social media" - if you used to enjoy following Jess on socials, this is like that...only more intimate. This is where I'll be sharing everything instead of on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
-
Early access: first look at color drops, palettes, events and more
-
Members-only tutorials:step-by-steps that won’t hit public feeds
-
Downloads & printables: checklists, planner pages, ADHD pages, PMDD Living and surviving guides (join the pmdd membership to add this feature)
-
Q&A threads & polls: help me decide what to make next, get your requests heard. SeaPaints aren't just my paints, they're yours too. And if you're here because of PMDD, I'd love for you to tell me how I can better serve you and the PMDD community.
-
Community: If you're a OG, hang with us like old times, minus the Facebook ads of course. If you're new and wondering what I mean, you'll soon see...
Why Patreon Feels Better
-
No algorithm roulette:your feed shows what you chose to see
-
Deeper connection:smaller crowd, more meaningful connection
-
Sustainable for me: I can keep it raw, real, and impulsive... instead of sprinting after online marketing trends
-
Support that matters:your membership makes a difference in our lives and all the lives that JessSea.co is able to help in return (check out the new PMDD guides if you're here for PMDD resources.- the info on the website is free)
Schedule
I’m keeping it simple and reliable:

-
Monthly: NEW!!! live Q&A or studio chat ($3 membership & up)
Beginning in November 2025, patrons get access to live studio sessions...think cozy co-working, chaotic remodels, Q&A, and real-time demos and behind the scenes.
-
-
When: 13th 6pm CST (except in November it will be on the 14th. I'll be bringing you along to see Kelly Clarkson live for this one. )
-
Where? - right here in the Patreon app
-
Replay:It will be recorded and posted within 24–48 hours in case you missed it
-
What we’ll do: behind-the-scenes processes, color tests, mini tutorials, casual hangouts and body doubling, along with open Q&A

FAQ
Will you still post on social media at all?
If you're following my PMDD pages, yes. On my personal pages, no not really. Maybe every once in a while, but I no longer feel the need or desire to share my life on such a public scale. I'd rather keep most of it between us.
What if I can’t join right now?
No worries. There's a free membership where I post quite a bit. Your likes, shares, and kind words still matter to me. Plus, I love seeing your cute face pop up when you comment.
